“I grew up on a farm outside of Stromsburg and attended Cross County High School. When I was in middle school and high school, I made frequent visits to my physical therapist after sports injuries or random injuries encountered on the farm. I absolutely loved going to PT, which was saying a lot since my appointments were at the crack of dawn and I wasn’t a morning person. When I first started college, I thought I wanted to pursue accounting as I enjoyed my business classes in high school. However, I found that I had more of a passion for helping others and understanding the human body. Luckily for me, I found a career that allows me to do both and I truly couldn’t be any happier with my decision to pursue physical therapy.”
“It’s pretty hard to pick one thing that’s the best about being a PT! But I would have to say that seeing a patient perform a task that he or she hadn’t been able to perform prior to being treated with PT has got to be up there at the top. Seeing that satisfaction and joy that comes over them when they accomplish something that seemed so far out of reach before, but is attainable now is incredibly rewarding.”
“I love spending time with family. I am a mother of two young children who enjoy keeping me on my toes. I enjoy camping, skiing, playing cards, volleyball and being my husband at a friendly game of P-I-G.”
